| ElringKlinger introduced CATENIC Anafee in November 2004 in order to account for all IT costs on the basis of transparent and comprehensible consumption measurements. For example, SAP costs are accounted on the basis of transactions actually carried out; the costs for hardware and software as well as the utilized hard disk space on the file servers are individually itemized for the cost centers in the account statements. The aim is transparent service accounting encouraging a cost-conscious usage of IT resources.
