CATENIC Milestones

Aug. 1999

• Founding of CATENIC GmbH in Bad Tölz by Hubert Bauer and Fabian Mäsch. The initial core business was consisted of consulting companies with the focus on “service and product catalogues” as well as internal service accounting.

2001

• Support through the Munich “Business Angels e.V.”, an association of private investors supporting promising innovative technology companies. Among the CATENIC investors are Eberhard Färber (co-founder of IXOS Software AG), Eberhard Risse (former top manager of the LuK Group), Falk Strascheg (most successful venture capitalist in Europe), Claus Andreas Preen (Founder of Public Networks) as well as Hans Schlegel (former member of the board of directors of SAP AG).
• CATENIC is converted into a public limited company.
• Dieter Matteis, former CFO of SAP AG, is appointed chairman of the supervisory board.

2002

• Beginning of the 2-year development of Anafee™.
• The finished Anafee 1.0 is rolled out at Schwenk Zement KG in the IT Service Center.
• The calculation and accounting model which was initially confined to SAP transactions is extended to all areas of IT services organizations.

2004

• Bernd Worlitzer is appointed board member in charge of sales and marketing.
• For the first time, Anafee is adapted for a non-IT service area and successfully integrated into the international Finance Shared Services Organization of AREVA Energietechnik.

2005

• CATENIC receives the certification as SAP Software and SAP Certified Integration Partner due to the standardized interface to the SAP Netweaver™ System.
• The cement producer Lehigh becomes CATENIC’s first customer in the US.

2006

• CATENIC completes its biggest installation to date at Robert Bosh GmbH. Today, Bosch controls its IT services for approximately 100,000 IT workplaces worldwide using the CATENIC solution.

2007

• CATENIC AG moves to its new business headquarters in Unterhaching, Munich.
• The standard software Anafee is released for Finance and Human Resources Shared Services Organizations.
• EADS Astrium decides to implement Anafee throughout Europe.
• The energy company EVN AG becomes the first customer of CATENIC in Austria.

2008

• CATENIC publishes the first issue of its customer magazine ”F.M. – Financial Management”.
• Als erstes Unternehmen implementiert der ADAC e.V. Anafee™ in allen internen Shared Services Bereichen
• The total services budget controlled via Anafee worldwide exceeds EUR 1.5 bn for the first time.
• The Swiss Department für Defense, Civil Defense and Sports becomes the first customer of CATENIC in Switzerland.
